The aim of this unit is to look at the stories and events around Christmas and develop our understanding of who Jesus is to Christians using the sources available. We also look at how Christmas is now celebrated and where a lot of these ideas come from. The message of Christmas is also investigated.

Leading on from the course on the Gurdwara we did earlier this year, we are now looking at Sikh beliefs, symbols, ideas and attitudes to understand what role they see for themselves in today's world.
We look at 3 areas of life and death that involve ourselves: What happens after death, good and evil and who am I?
You will find your homework under the topic that you are studying at the moment. Unless it is otherwise stated on the information, you will all complete the same homework. I would like to point out that homework is up to 30 minutes in length for Yr 7, 40 minutes for Yr 8 and 1 hr for Yr 9. This depends upon the type of homework set.
The course will be split into 4 sections completed in the following order: Abortion, Fertility Treatment, Euthanasia and Animal Testing. Thursdays will be looking at the defined topic and practising exam technique.
