This course uses a range of map and research skills to look at how and why places are different. Patterns of ecosystems and earthquakes are looked at on a global scale while OS maps are used to explore the local area.

OS maps and other sources of information are used to explore the features and services of students' villages/towns and decide whether they are better places to live than Cambridge.

This course looks at various global factors that make our climate the way it is. Students then do more research on the natural and man made factors that might cause changes to the climate.

Looking at the growth of the EU and how this affects our daily lives.

This  course looks at several spectacular landscapes, how they were formed and why people visit and use them. Cheddar gorge is the first to be visited.

The geography of crime is expored by mapping it in the local area, using police data, and looking for patterns so see if there are any hotspots. Students then suggest ways to reduce and design out crime.

This course looks at various natural hazards that affect people across the world and whether people can plan to reduce the risks.
